Honey Court Seafood is a Chinese restaurant in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District at 516 Maynard Ave S, Seattle, WA, 98104. They open at 10 a.m. and close at midnight.
In the summer of 2023, my Chinese friends took me to Honey Court Seafood for dim sum, and it became my favorite Chinese restaurant in Seattle. When I crave dim sum, I always go here. The reasons why I’m a regular customer include its convenient location near the station, ample parking, attractive interior, diverse menu, and the wonderful flavors of its dishes.

What you need to know
Dim sum is served until 3 p.m. After that, customers can only order dim sum steamed in a bamboo steamer and other Chinese dishes. I wondered why there were restrictions on ordering dim sum. Huimin Zhang, who is from China, explained that dim sum originated in the Cantonese region and is traditionally eaten as breakfast or brunch rather than as a main meal like lunch or dinner. Nowadays, more people enjoy dim sum as a full meal, not just for breakfast, although eating dim sum for dinner is uncommon.
Convenient location
Honey Court Seafood is easily accessible by both car and public transit. There are plenty of paid parking lots and street parking nearby, making it easy to visit by car. Additionally, the restaurant is located a short five-minute walk from the International District Chinatown station, according to Google Maps.
Interior and menu
When I entered the restaurant, a waiter guided me to my seat. The luxurious and clean interior was welcoming, with families gathering and having a great time. Also, the restaurant is divided by a partition wall, making the space smaller at first. In reality, the interior is about twice as large as it looks in the photo below.

A waiter handed me two menus–one for Chinese cuisine and another dedicated to dim sum. The first menu had pictures of only a few selected dishes, while the dim sum menu included pictures of every dish, making it much easier for me to order without guessing what the food looked like.

I ordered five dim sum dishes: Steamed Jumbo Prawns Dumplings, Steamed Chicken Feet with Spice, Steamed Bean Curd Rolls with Pork & Bamboo Shoots, Beef Stomach, and Steamed Egg Custard Buns. Five servings of dim sum are enough for three people or two very hungry diners.
Sauces for the dishes were available on one side of the table. Before eating, I mixed Chinese spicy sauce, vinegar, and soy sauce on my plate and dipped the dim sum into it. Every dim sum was fantastic and bursting with flavor.
After finishing my meal, the waiter brought the bill with two small desserts–mango jellies and fortune cookies. Each dim sum dish costs around $9. What I ordered cost me $42.48, before tip.

Recommended dishes
Even after visiting the restaurant more than five times, I have never had a mediocre dish. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently excellent, making it hard to choose just a few recommendations.
Steamed Jumbo Prawn Dumplings are a great choice for beginners. Inside the dumpling skin, the shrimp is plump and bouncy. The combination of the chewy dumpling wrapper and shrimp creates an interesting texture.

Steamed Bean Curd Rolls with Pork & Bamboo Shoot are ideal for those who don’t like flour dumpling curd. Thin bean curd wraps around a flavorful pork and vegetable filling. The bean curd’s rich flavor and the juicy meat filling make this dish fantastic.

Steamed Chicken Feet with Spice has a chewy texture and a slightly spicy flavor. I always order this dish. If you don’t mind eating chicken feet, I strongly recommend trying it. For me, this dish is one of the restaurant’s top three.

Final thoughts
Eating out can be a hit or miss–sometimes it’s satisfying, and other times it can be disappointing and leave you thinking, “I wasted my money.” However, every visit to Honey Court Seafood has left me completely satisfied. I’ve always felt like I had a delicious meal with my friends.
